TIP OF THE WEEK: Cool InDesign Trick – how to fill in placeholder text and count the characters automatically

-Open InDesign and draw a square with the text tool
-Fill it with placeholder text under MENU > TYPE > FILL WITH PLACEHOLDER TEXT
-Go to WINDOW > INFO and read the info on the amount of characters and words

Of course, this also works with real text. You don’t need to count text yourself; let InDesign do this for you!

Natürlich geht dies auch mit richtigem Text. Sie müssen die Silben nicht selber zählen; InDesign erledigt das für Sie!
